Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 2 held a change of command ceremony aboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story during which Cmdr. Clint Cornell relieved Cmdr. Jon Haase as commanding officer, April 26.
The ceremony was the culmination of two years at the helm of EODMU 2 where he oversaw manning, training and equipping units of action, deploying 19 companies and platoons in support of U.S. 5th Fleet, U.S. 6th Fleet and U.S. Special Operations Command.
“These warriors are adaptive and effective, and that is a testament to the Mobile Unit 2 Sailors’ hard work and dedication to the mission on a daily basis,” Haase said in his remarks.
