Police were put on high alert early Monday after an explosion shook a tavern in Zakaki, Limassol.
The blast occurred shortly before 5:00 a.m., causing minor damage to the establishment. Authorities confirmed that an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated at the entrance of the tavern, which is co-owned by a 36-year-old man and his 27-year-old brother. One of the owners is a known TikTok personality, adding a layer of public interest to the case.
