Inside the home where an explosion killed a man earlier this month, police found cardboard tubes, black powder and improvised explosive devices stored in a lunchbox, according to a search warrant application released Tuesday.
Thomas Cianciola, 56, was seriously injured in a blast at a Horseshoe Drive home on Jan. 12 and died later that day at a local hospital. Known as “an avid fireworks person,” according to a former girlfriend, Cianciola was renting the home’s basement, police said.
