Cambodia: War legacy continues to threaten lives


Despite strides made in clearance, remnants of war, including mines, continue to pose a risk to locals. A recent incident underscored this ongoing threat when an anti-tank mine exploded on July 14 in Banteay Meanchey province.

The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) reported the incident on the same day. It occurred in Banteay village, O’Beichoan commune of the O’Chrou district.
