The United States signed a Grant Cooperation Agreement worth $600,000 on Saturday to support Cambodia’s demining efforts over a five-month period from November to April next year.
The funds will be funnelled through Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) to the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC). The deal was signed during a visit from US Congress members to the CMAC Technical Institute for Mine Action, in Kampong Chhnang province on Saturday.
