Cambodia: Mine educational material reach over 740,000 people


In the first nine months of this year, mine-related institutions have provided educational material to more than 740,000 people, according to the Cambodian Mine Action Authority (CMAA).

In a report on October 4, it said that from January to September, through the CMAA, relevant institutions and national and international mine operators have provided material to 740,070 people – 309,304 women, 74,727 girls, 59,682 boys and 9,209 disabled people.

The institutions include the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport; Cambodian Red Cross; National Police; National Centre for Peacekeeping Forces, Mines and Explosive Remnants of War Clearance; Cambodian Mine Action Centre; HALO Trust; Mines Advisory Group; Cambodia Self-Help Demining; Spirit of Soccer Cambodia; and Cambodia Mine Victims Information System.
