The M 82 bomb, an aerial unguided bomb has been found and removed on Monday in Kandal province’s Ponhea Leu district, according to an official.
Cambodian Mine Action Center director general Heng Ratana said the low-drag general-purpose bomb which weighed around 230 kilogrammes was unearthed 5 metres deep in the ground in Prey Las commune.
“This bomb is the remnant of war and buried in the ground around 50 years, but its condition remains good and active”, he said.
