Cambodia: Humanitarian demining operation to strictly uphold sovereignty, territorial integrity, and mutual respect


The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) and the Thai Mine Action Centre (TMAC) held a technical meeting at 12:05 p.m. on Nov. 7 to assess a pilot area in the priority border zone for humanitarian demining operations, according to Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence.

The pilot area is located in O’Beichoan commune, O’Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, Kingdom of Cambodia, opposite Nonmak Moon commune, Khok Song district, Sa Kaeo province, Kingdom of Thailand, in line with the decision of the Cambodia-Thailand Joint Coordinating Task Force (JCTF) meeting held on Oct. 31, 2025, she noted.
