Armenia and U.S. conduct CBRN response exercise


As part of countering weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), the authorized personnel of the Armenian state administration system participated in a field training implemented in Armenia jointly with the Defense

Threat Reduction Agency of the U.S. Department of Defense and coordinated by the office of the Armenian Security Council. The purpose of the exercise was to explore Armenia’s capabilities and response mechanisms to the spread of Chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats (CBRN defense). The Security Council Office, in a statement, described the exercise as “unprecedented” in terms of the number of agencies and the geography involved.
