All Eight Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group One Commands Receive “Green H” Award for Medical Excellence


Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) announced in a message to the force on March 26 that every Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Group One subordinate command received the 2018 “Green H” Award for excellence in medical readiness.

The “Green H” Award recognizes those commands that enhance battle readiness by promoting the health, fitness and mental well-being of active duty Sailors and encourage participation in health promotion activities.

EOD Group One, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) One, EODMU Three, EODMU Five, EODMU Eleven, EOD Expeditionary Support Unit (EODESU) One, EOD Training and Evaluation Unit One and Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) One all received the award this year and are eligible to display a green “H” in a prominent place on their buildings or the quarterdeck at their command headquarters.
