Afghanistan: District Police Chief Killed in Faryab Roadside Bomb Blast, Four People Wounded In Magnetic IED Blast In Helmand Province


Five security force members including Safar Mohammad Bidar, the police chief for Qaramqul district in Faryab province were killed in a roadside bomb blast in the province on Wednesday morning, police said.

The incident when the police chief was on his way to support security forces who were “under Taliban attack” in an area in the district, said Abdul Karim Yourish, spokesman for Faryab police chief.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Helmand province, 18 November – Four people were wounded in a magnetic IED blast in Lashkargah city, on Wednesday morning, local officials said.
