One person has been confirmed dead and 17 others were injured as an explosive device went off in a religious school in Khost city, capital of eastern Khost province on Wednesday, a provincial official said Thursday.
He said that a student was busy in dismantling a mine when the device exploded and inflicted the casualties, adding that the injured were in stable condition.
