Afghan army defuses massive bombs, landmines: gov't

The Afghan army personnel found 73 improvised bombs and landmines within the last 24 hours, the country’s Defense Ministry said Thursday.

“Afghan National Army (ANA) explosive-ordnance disposal teams recovered 73 rounds of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and landmine elsewhere since early Wednesday. They safely defused or destroyed the explosives over the period,” the ministry said in a statement.
