An improvised explosive device has been found at Surahi rivulet of Shivaraj municipality-1 in Kapilvastu.
A bomb disposal team of the Nepali Army defused the explosive material found near Surahi bridge along east-west highway this morning.
Locals, who went for swimming in the rivulet, informed the Nepal Police after seeing suspicious material.
The explosive material might have been left there during the then conflict period.
