Army Base Van Explosion Was ‘Attempt To Kill’

A small parcel bomb has exploded in a postal van at an army barracks near Belfast in a “reckless” attack slammed by Unionists as attempted murder.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed there had been an explosion at the back of the vehicle in the Palace Barracks in Holywood.

The postal worker who had been driving the van was not inside when the blast took place.
