The project, started on September 15, is scheduled to complete on December 31, 2020 with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the UN Development Programme in Vietnam as well as relevant agencies of both sides.
Objectives of the project include defining the exact polluted areas and optimise the efficiency of resources for bomb and mine clearance, eliminating effects of the unexploded ordnance to locals and ensuring safety for people during production process and daily activities, thus promoting socio-economic development.
It also aims to enhance the locality’s capacity in giving first aid to victims, helping the victims improve their living conditions and integrate into the society, while raising public awareness of bomb and mine accidents.
