43 killed, 25 wounded in coordinated Kabul attack


The sound of an explosion was heard close to a governmental compound amid reports several people have been killed or wounded in the blast and clashes between the security forces and assailant militants.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Halth Wahid Majroh confirmed that the dead bodies of at least 43 people have been shifted to the hospitals along with at least 25 others who have sustained injuries.

Deputy interior ministry spokesman Nusrat Rahimi had earlier said at least one policeman lost his life in the attack and sixteen others sustained injures.

Rahimi further added that three militants who were resisting the security force have also been killed during the exchange of fire.
