Vietnam: $1.9 billion Quang Ninh LNG power project calls for mine clearance bids


The $1.9 billion Quang Ninh LNG power plant, the first such facility in northern Vietnam, is inviting bids for the mines and explosives clearance package.

In a Tuesday announcement, the project investor, Quang Ninh LNG Power JSC, said the bid must be submitted by noon March 18, towards contract signing later this quarter. The contract implementation is slated for Q2. The move marks a key step of the project, following its initiation in October 2021 and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s request of kicking off construction in Q2/2025.
