Thailand: Rangers injured in bomb attack during patrol in Yala


Four rangers were seriously injured in a bomb attack in Yala’s Bang Sata district today.

The rangers were patrolling in a pickup truck in Ban Bajoh village, Tambon Ban Bajoh, when insurgents, concealed in roadside undergrowth, triggered an improvised explosive device (IED), which they had planted earlier. The blast overturned the rangers’ vehicle, seriously wounded them.
