The Counter-Terrorism Department of Rawalpindi killed on Sunday two key terrorists of the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in an Intelligence-based operation (IBO). Action against the militants was taken upon a tip-off.
The terrorists opened fire on CTD personnel and were shot dead when security forces retaliated. The slain militants were identified as Naseebullah and Ehsanullah, who were involved in the attack on Dolphin Force in Rawalpindi earlier. An Improvised explosive device (IED), hand grenade, and a large cache of arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession.
