The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested two suspected members of the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in sting operations in Sahiwal and its outskirts.
In a raid conducted late Wednesday night near Village 58/GD, on the Faisalabad-Sahiwal Road in Noor Shah, the CTD arrested a suspect identified as Muhammad Adeel of Layyah. The department said Adeel was allegedly planning a terrorist attack. A live improvised explosive device (IED), dry battery, prima cards, detonators, cables, a cell phone, electrical circuits, an iron box filled with nails, a camera, a 30-bore pistol, bullets and cash were recovered from him.
