A World War II ordnance was safely disposed of on Friday morning after being discovered in a residence in Mqabba.
The Armed Forces said the unexploded ordnance was confirmed to be a World War II relic after being checked by the AFM Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team, 3 Regiment. It was found to be “unstable”. “For public safety, a controlled on-site disposal was carried out,” the AFM said.
