Japan Donates $11.3M to Support Cambodia’s Demining Efforts


Cambodia’s demining efforts have received another major boost after Japan granted $11.3 million to support efforts to rid Battambang, Pursat and Koh Kong provinces of landmines and other unexploded ordnance (UXO).

On January 12, officials from Japan and Cambodia signed an exchange document for a financial project under the theme “Integrated Mine Clearance and Victims Assistance Phase 3″, granting 1.7 billion yen (about $11.3 million) to the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) unit.
