Cambodia: Over 51 square kilometres of landmines cleared in first three months


In the first three months of this year, the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) cleared more than 51 square kilometres of mines-contaminated land.

According to the centre’s report published recently, CMAC found and destroyed 4,092 mines, including 4,058 anti-personnel mines, 30 anti-tank mines, and four improvised mines. CMAC also found and destroyed 30,131 explosive remnants of war (ERW), including aerial bombs, cluster munitions, and other munitions.
