Bangladesh border guard injured in mine blast near Myanmar border


A member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been injured after a mine exploded while he was part of a patrol in the Bangladesh-Myanmar border area in Bandarban.

The incident occurred in Naikhongchhari’s Tambru area around 12:30pm on Sunday, according to Col Mohiuddin Ahmed, sector commander of the BGB Ramu unit. The injured was identified as Lance Naik Akhtar Hossain of the BGB Cox’s Bazar Battalion (BGB-34).
