World War Two bomb discovered on Greenwich foreshore


An unexploded World War Two bomb has been washed up on the riverside in Greenwich. The device washed up by Enderby’s Wharf, SE10, just after 4pm this afternoon.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed the object was a Second World War ordnance, and said officers were in attendance.

A photograph captured at the scene shows at Metropolitan Police boat travelling towards the foreshaw where the explosive device was discovered.
