The ASEAN Regional Mine Action Centre (ARMAC) based in Phnom Penh is well-known for dealing with landmines and explosive remnants of war (ERW) from a humanitarian perspective, said Prime Minister Hun Sen.
Mr Hun Sen as ASEAN Chair made the statement yesterday to mark the 55th anniversary of ASEAN as a regional organisation.
He said that for the past 15 years, Cambodia has dispatched nearly 8,000 security forces for UN missions in a number of countries around the world.
