Cambodia: More than 2,000 square kilometres of land demined in more than three decades

For more than 30 years, the Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority (CMAA) has carried out its demining and UXO clearance mission and have completed this mission in more than 2,000 square kilometres of land.

This statement was made by Senior Minister Ly Thuch, CMAA First Vice President, during a press conference held at the Mine Authority on July 8.

“Many lives have been lost to landmines. Therefore, demining is an important task that the Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen considers as one of the priority tasks for our country,” said the Senior Minister.
