Villagers in Pailin were shocked with the discovery of a UXO in forest that they frequent.
The report of the dangerous discovery was given to the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) Office of Weapons, Explosives and Toxicity Management early in the morning on June 3.
The explosive was discovered in a plantation forest, Boeung Prolit Village, Stung Karch Commune, Sala Krao District, Pailin. The explosive was identified as a 100 mm shell. The UXO was discovered by farmers ploughing the land.
