Cambodia: Transport company foil attempt to send ‘home-made’ bomb via courier


In a bizarre case, it appears that an unidentified person who attempted to send a ‘homemade bomb’ from Pailin to Battambang via a Cambodian transport company has had his plot foiled by quick thinking staff.

Staff at the Pailin branch of J&T had been contacted at 6.20pm on the 25th of January by an unknown man, who had asked them to pick up a package at the football field east of the statue of Yeay Yat in Ota village. Prang, Sangkat Pailin, Pailin City, Pailin Province.

The caller asked for the package to be delivered to Sangkat Chamkar Samrong, Battambang City, Battambang Province.
