Chhattisgarh police on Wednesday dismissed Maoist allegations regarding an airstrike/drone attack in Gudem village under police station limits of Bijapur. The state police said the Maoists’ claims are totally baseless and an outcome of fear and confusion in the rank and file of Maoist cadres.
Maoists Bijapur DKSZC has alleged that security agencies conducted air strikes on their camps. Maoists claim 12 bombs were dropped through drones and were found in Gudem village.
The police, in their statement, said, “Security forces in Bastar operate within the legal framework with a single objective of protecting life and property of the native population of the region.”
