Bomb disposal teams destroyed an ‘unexploded mortar shell’ found in a Bolton skip during a controlled explosion today.
It comes after the ‘World War Two-type shell’ was found by workers at Lostock Skip Hire on Star Lane in Horwich at around 5pm on Thursday (October 22).
Those who live in the were evacuated last night while emergency services, including Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, dealt with the incident.
