UK: Bomb disposal unit called over suspicious package at Wrexham plant linked to vaccine

A bomb disposal unit is dealing with an incident after a suspicious package was reported at a plant where the AstraZeneca vaccine is put into vials.

In a statement, the company which operates the site, Wockhardt UK, said it had partially evacuated the site as it investigated the package.

The company, which is a supply partner for AstraZeneca, said: “Wockhardt UK in Wrexham this morning received a suspicious package to site.
