By the end of the week, the number of EOD teams will be increased to 25. This was announced by the Head of the National Police of Ukraine during the live broadcast of the “United News”.
The Head of the Department noted that currently 10 explosive clearance groups are operating in the de-occupied territories of the Kherson region. Police demine residential buildings, water utilities, regional power distribution facilities, state archives, etc. “At the end of the week, there will be 25 such groups. We have vast areas that need to be cleared and full-fledged police activities resumed there. Currently, the police have already cleared about 400 hectares of territory, including 50 square kilometers only in the city of Kherson and its environs,” Ihor Klymenko said.
