The Alabama Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and high yield Explosive Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP) Medical and Command & Control units are holding a local training exercise this weekend, September 7 and 8, with local emergency services in Downtown OWA.
“The goal is to increase the reality of the exercise by conducting scenarios in a crowded amusement park,” said Kristin Hellmich, a spokesperson for OWA.
CERFPs are a combination of Army and Air National Guard units assembled of medical, search and extraction, decontamination, command and control and fatality search and recovery teams.
