A female doctor was killed in an IED explosion attached to a rickshaw in which she was traveling in district 3 of the city of Jalalabad east of Afghanistan on Thursday morning, the provincial governor’s office confirmed.
The doctor, Sadaf, was working for the maternity ward of a public hospital in Nangarhar province.
More details on the incident are not available so far.
The incident comes two days after three female employees of a local TV network in Jalalabad were killed in two separate attacks by unknown armed men.
