3DX-Ray have announced the sale of a quantity of Threat Scan®-LSC Systems to the Brazilian State Military Police – EOD Team via their Brazilian partner, Berkana Tecnologia em Segurança
3DX-RAY LTD, CEO, Vincent Deery said: “We have had a close working relationship with our Brazilian partners since 2020, and this order represents another important step in the development of that relationship and of our business within the region.”
Berkana Tecnologia em Segurança Ltda, CEO, Milton Donizeti Heineke said: “The success of this product is growing rapidly, and currently six different State EOD Teams around Brazil are using the 3DX-Ray systems to increase safety and security. We are optimistic that these numbers will grow even more very soon.”
Systems have already been supplied to the States of Bahia, Pará, Paraíba, Rondônia, Santa Catarina and São Paulo.
The 3DX-RAY Threat Scan®-LSC is a portable x-ray inspection system that includes two panels: the large format LS1 panel and the compact LS3 panel.
The LS1 panel has a large imaging area of 600mm x 460mm to scan typical bags and packages in one scan, yet it is still remarkably lightweight and incredibly thin.
The LS3 panel is more compact with an imaging area of 305mm x 256mm, for use where access to suspect packages is limited or under vans, for example.
This combination system is powerful and can penetrate steel up to 40mm at 120kV and up to 60mm at 150kV. It also produces high quality, sub-millimetre resolution images.
The ThreatScan® range is suitable for use in suspect bag and package inspection in locations such as mass transit rail and bus stations, shopping malls, airports, stadia and sports arenas.
3DX-Ray are exhibiting at Security & Policing, Farnborough, 14-16 March 2023.
On show will be the ThreatScan®-AS1(ISC), the ThreatScan®-LS1 and the ThreatScan®-LS3 Portable X-Ray Systems.
These systems are ideal for the EOD community as well as border agencies, police and security services for the inspection of suspect bags and packages in locations such as mass transit rail and bus stations, shopping malls, airports, stadia and sports arenas.
3DX-Ray will also be showing their AXIS™-CXi, a cabinet-based x-ray system for screening mail, parcels and small baggage for potentially harmful items and contraband. It is a mobile unit so can be relocated easily within buildings. The CXi is unique in offering the 3DX-ray’s aviation standard materials imaging capability in a mail screening cabinet scenario.
