IED kills 3 Bangladeshi UN peacekeepers in Mali


Three Bangladeshi UN peacekeepers have been killed, and four others injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Mali on Sunday.

The Inter Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) confirmed the matter in a press release.

The deceased soldiers are, Sergeant Altaf from Dinajpur, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Corps, Lance Corporal Jakirul from Netrokona with the Field Artillery Regiment and Sainik Monowar from Barisal with the East Bengal Regiment.

The injured are, Major Jadid from Dhaka, Corporal Mohim, Infantry from Noakhali, Sainik Sobuj from Naogaon and Sainik Sarwar from Jessore, all with the Infantry Division. The injured were sent to Gao city for better treatment.
