Peshawar: – An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast targeting the security forces in tribal district North Waziristan on Friday left at least two men in uniform seriously wounded.
“At least two personnel of the security forces were injured in a remote controlled bomb blast in North Waziristan tribal district on Friday”. The officials said the vehicle of the security forces was targeted by the unknown terrorists on Miran Shah Bypass road in the morning.
The injured security personnel were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Miran Shah as the security forces rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. The security forces are reported to have kicked off search operation in the area to net the culprits behind the attack.
In the meanwhile, the security forces thwarted a subversive attempt by recovering a suicide jacket on a road side in Bara area of Khyber district on Friday morning.
The suicide jacket was later defused, said the district administration of Khyber tribal district.
